Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quote estimator requires only your gender, date of birth, health status self-assessment, nicotine/tobacco history, death benefit amount and term years. These six data points supply what insurers need to calculate rates. Name, street address and detailed health records are gathered only when you choose to move forward with applying.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The rates displayed are what each carrier quotes for the health class you described. Your final premium gets set by the carrier's underwriting process, which may confirm the rate, improve it, or modify it based on additional evaluation. Nothing here should be understood as an insurance quote, rate lock, or acceptance promise.

What happens when I click Apply?

You provide your name, and the application moves forward using the specific rate you chose. The carriers' application program continues from there and you can pause and resume whenever necessary. Your signature is digital. Susman Insurance Agency, California-licensed (License 0B75129), administers the whole process.

Will I need a medical exam?

This is decided by the particular insurer, the death benefit requested, and your health answers. Many insurance providers now accelerate decisions for qualifying individuals without an examination. Every rate shown here indicates whether the specific product demands an exam, might need one, or doesn't require one.

Is a longer term better?

Choose a term that covers how long others will need your earnings. A 20-year option might cover your mortgage. A 30-year option might see your youngest through college. Here you can review costs for 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year durations side-by-side to compare pricing.

Does this site sell my information?

No. Your information isn't given to outside firms, we don't use ad tracking, and our site analysis doesn't use cookies. Review the privacy statement for everything that is tracked, by whom, and for what reason.
